1. Introduction

There are some vary handy macros in Confluence that reinforce the philosophy "Write in one place, use in many places, so you only have to maintain in one place." This philosophy is in use in many places in the SWEHB. 

One example of this is in how references are handled. Using the macros and plugins for Scaffolding and Reporting, a database of references was created. Information on a reference is created and maintained in the References Table. Then using the macros for "refstable" they are pulled into various Resources tabs in SWEs and Topics. for all the details see SWEHBDOC References in SWEHB.
