Accredit: The official acceptance of a software development tool, model, or simulation (including associated data) to use for a specific purpose.

Project managers are responsible and accountable for the safe conduct and successful outcome of their program or project in conformance with governing Programmatic requirements. This is usually NASA, but can also refer to the Prime contractor-subcontractor relationship as well.
